A high-end lavish white gold black tie wedding in mykonos
James and Sean had a very clear vision about their dream day from the very first time we talked with them.
They love Mykonos which they have been visiting very frequently and have special spots around the island. Mykonos’ inclusive and cosmopolitan culture was a main reason for hosting their wedding there.
The theme would be an all white/gold black tie inspired wedding with some fresh twists of luxury fashion. The concept we created with them was an ethereal white cloud like ambience for the ceremony that would be a statement and match seamlessly with the venue environment and the Greek sky and sea. They wanted both the ceremony and reception areas to be transformed in a way that would showcase luxury and elegance, but at the same time be unique and represent the couple’s identities and deeply sentimental approach to a day that embodies their approach to life and choices. We incorporated golden elements in the dinner furniture and tableware, fashion content in the details, like the table names and seating chart, and personalized letters to each guest marked with the couple’s initials as a wax-like stamp. The ceremony was designed around the couple’s wish to fill the area entirely with flowers and make it look like a fresh snow white cloud without obstructing the wonderful views to the Myconian sky and sea. Hence, we decided to add enormous all white trees to the entrance of the ceremony area alongside endless ground floral arrangements that end across a mirror aisle to a lush flower wall that surrounded the couple during their “I do’s”. A formally dress strings orchestra played their favorite songs while the guests shared moments of joy. The dinner setting included chandeliers over every table dressed in flowers, mirror topped tables, and a lavishly decorated party area with disco balls and flowers hanging over it. Everyone danced the night away and raised a champagne glass to celebrate love and life while watching the sky turn from night to color during a stunning fireworks show.
This wedding, beautifully captured by the lenses of Anna Roussos and Thanos Asfis, is a proof that love should be celebrated equally, freely, and unconditionally and the dream of enjoying one’s special day among their loved ones is a dream worth to fight for and work towards. The combination of all white luxury decorations, gold styling elements, and the blue background of Mykonos, made a unique palette. The entire design showcased a high end event with attention to personalization and details that covered all parts of the event smoothly and elegantly.
